Think big, scale up! Don’t just limit yourself to the provision of physiotherapy services

Welcome to today’s Antony Hirst consulting. We will talk about Don’t just limit yourself to the provision of physiotherapy services.

If you can tell me what Ibrahim Samaan, Andrew Ronchi, Mark Alexander, and Randall Cooper all have in common then I am impressed.

Genuinely.

Dean Watson, Jenny McConnell, Geoff Maitland, and Brian Mulligan, and many others, have collectively added considerable knowledge and skill base to the physiotherapy services profession. Through clinical research of their methods, they are a different but equally impressive quartet.

But, let’s go back to the first group. They are all physiotherapists who have used their knowledge, experience in the clinical setting, and probably their desire to scale up a business beyond that of traditional physiotherapy practice, to create a sustainable and considered venture.

I have no doubt they have tested, re-tested, improved their product, retested, sought input from both patients and practitioners, retested, improved, and pushed on when many probably pushed back.

They all had a belief that what they were offering was going to be of great benefit to the patient and if this remained first and foremost, then success would ultimately follow.

After all, most of us became practitioners because we wanted to help people.

And you don’t just have to use your skills within a typical clinical setting to do that.

PurifasDorsaViBak balls, and Premax are all products that have been designed by Australian physiotherapists. Their products are sold locally and internationally, one is currently on the Australian stock exchange. Additionally, all of these products have the ability to scale up to a significant degree.

So, if you have an idea, desire, and an endless level of commitment to push the boundaries then why not follow in the footsteps of these pioneers.

As always, if I can be of any assistance or I can point you in the right direction, if you are contemplating designing and producing a new product or piece of technology, don’t hesitate to contact me via my mobile (0439347339) or email (antony@antonyhirstconsulting.com.au).

Who knows one day you may be listed on the Australian stock exchange.
